Tour Classic of Sri Lanka ( 7 days)

Day 01- Relax at a beautiful beach hotel in Negombo (near the airport) 

Arrive at Colombo International Airport (CMB) and warm welcome by our representative.
No activities. Relax and Overnight stay at Delphine Beach Hotel, Waikkala (Dinner and breakfast included).

             Tour of Birds ( 10 Days)

Sri Lanka (Ceylon) is a tropical island situated close to the southern tip of India and known as a birder’s paradise. The birdlife of this tropical island is very rich for its size and 521 species have been recorded. In addition to the many resident birds, a considerable number of migratory species winter in the country to escape their northern breeding grounds. 34 species are confirmed as endemic. The other resident species are also found in the nearby Indian mainland, but over 80 have developed distinct Sri Lankan races. Some of these races are very different in their plumage characteristics from the related forms in India. 26 species are globally threatened. The Bird distribution in Sri Lanka is largely determined by its climatic zones. 

This itinerary has been carefully designed with the supervision of a bird-watching specialist and talented ornithologist of Sri Lanka give you a unique bird watching experience


 

Day 01 - Airport to Waikkala

At the airport, you will be greeted by your guide who will take you to the fishing village of Waikkala. It’s a fishing village rich with many kinds of birds such as ducks, egrets, herons, storks, eagles, terns, swallows, swifts, kingfishers and other resident species.

This hotel is situated near the ocean which will open many opportunities for bird watching.

This tour is designed for you to experience Sri Lanka's heritage, culture, and nature including beautiful beaches in the Eastern and Southern parts of the Island. 
Sri Lanka is a small Island. But, it is blessed with breathtakingly beautiful sun-drenched golden beaches, crystal clear blue ocean, greeny cultivations, misty mountains, meandering rivers, cascading waterfalls, man-made and natural sites, and different climatic conditions within a few hours of driving.  
During this tour you will experience most of these attractions.

Day 03- Nuwara Eliya

Nuwara Eliya is the heart of Sri Lanka' tea country. The highest town in all of Sri Lanka at 6,187 feet (1,886 meters) above sea level, Nuwara Eliya is nicknamed "Little England" and was planned from scratch by the British in the 1840s as a hill station, or holiday town, after they discovered this small basin, surrounded by mountains, with a cool climate afforded by its high elevation. 
The mist-wrapped land of emerald peaks with a mystic view of hillsides carpeted with green tea plantations and graced with hidden beauties like waterfalls will take your breath away! The cool temperature and the scenic view have paved the way for this small district to be known as the Little England of the South Asian Region. With Tudor-style hotels, well-tended hedgerows and pretty gardens.

Day 04-Yala (National park)

A breathtaking and picturesque destination of our Sri Lanka tour packages, the second-largest and the most visited national park of Sri Lanka is the home to a variety of wildlife which is blessed with a huge area of forest, grassland, and lagoons bordering the Indian Ocean. This is where you get to meet the large giants to the smallest members of the animal kingdom along with a wildlife experience you will never forget! The park contains a diverse variety of habitats. 
Yala combines a strict nature reserve with a national park. Divided into 5 blocks, the park has a protected area of nearly 130,000 hectares of land consisting of light forests, scrubs, grasslands, tanks and lagoons. Two blocks are currently opened to the public. Situated in Sri Lanka’s south-east hugging the panoramic Indian Ocean, Yala was designated a wildlife sanctuary in 1900 and was designated a national park in 1938. Ironically, the park was initially used as a hunting ground for the elite under British rule. Yala is home to 44 varieties of mammal and 215 bird species. Among its more famous residents are the world’s biggest concentration of leopards, majestic elephants, sloth bears, sambars, jackals, spotted dear, peacocks, and crocodiles. The best time to visit Yala is between February and July when the water levels of the park are quite low, bringing animals into the open
